HSF Attendees,

We hope this finds you getting excited for the HSF, we sure are!

Today’s email will be going over:

  •  Morning coffee with / with AOPA

  • Check in

  • Raffle

  • In’s and outs of the desert / aviation week

  • Our amazing partners

Free coffee each morning with AOPA:

Swing by every morning to enjoy the hottest thing on the playa … free, fresh coffee with the AOPA crew.  Meet us in the main gathering tent Friday to Sunday, starting at 6:30am for morning coffee (until it runs out).

Check-in:

  •  As always, there will be a huge white gathering / main tent that is used for pilot briefings, hang out’s, and a central gathering place. It’s also next to the fire pit, and food trucks.

This year we will also have the HSF official check in tent near this main tent.

All attendees need to:

  • Come say hello & pick up your attendance wrist band.

Check in tent will also be the place for:

  • Purchase official HSF and STOL drag retail and raffle tickets

  • Pre-ordered retail: Will be here as well. We will hold your retail until Saturday at 6pm. Please remember, days / hours go into making pre-ordered retail bags, please don’t forget to pick it up or have your friend pick it up if you can’t make it by Saturday night.

 Desert / Aviation / Dogs / Kids:

  • We kindly ask you do not bring your dog / animals. If you must, they need to be on a leash at all times.

  • Children: Pilots / drivers / etc. There are lots of children running around.

Parents: please have a talk with your children about safety, airplanes and keep them safe. Pilot’s: please do not start your engine until you roll your plane out of the camping area.

Vehicles: please drive slow and look around. As we have had our 2 kids at the fly-ins for the last decade, we cannot stress enough the safety factor and that we all need to be responsible and reliable when it comes to keeping everyone safe.

Port-o-potties:

-There will be around 36 this year at the HSF. They will get serviced regularly and will be placed throughout the fly-in area.

 Saturday:

As always Saturday is a fun filled day at the HSF. The day starts with the National STOL Drag competition followed by a gathering at the massive fire pit (don’t forget your chair) food trucks for dinner, awards / raffle, an amazing nighttime sky show and ends with a live band. Bring your sunscreen and get ready for some fun!

In closing, a big thanks to you, our attendee’s, pilot’s, volunteers, and of course our amazing sponsors, AOPA, AeroLeds, Alaska Bushwheels, Breitling, CubCrafters, Fywat, Tempest Aero, Fly Tahoe and Xe-Vision.

 See you real soon!

 -HSF
